Victory Lodge 4042 Installation donation

victory donation

The Victory Lodge No 4042 Installation Meeting in May saw Bro Peter Williamson proclaimed as Worshipful Master for the second consecutive year.

During the evening WBro Les Kirby PPSGW, representing the PGM, was presented with £400 towards Festival 2029, that being the proceeds of the plate collection at the Installation Banquet and the contents of “Victoria”, the lodge’s pot pig money box. Bro Peter explains…

"We have a very active Lodge of Instruction each month which always concludes with a few beers providing an informal opportunity for us to get to know each other better. It has been a long tradition that the Master of the LOI, usually the current Senior Warden, brings a few snacks along to enjoy with the drinks and as a thank you, the brethren put a few coins into Victoria. At the end of the year Victoria is emptied and the Master decides what he would like to do with the money. This year the £166 raised has been donated to Festival to add to the plate collection from the Installation Banquet."

What is a Festival?

What is the target?

It is hoped that every member will give what they can toward this excellent cause.

As well as individuals Lodges and Chapters are encouraged to attain a level of achievement based on their membership.

It is hoped that most Lodges and Chapters will reach one of the achievements and that at the very least all will have given something.

How do I support The Festival?

Donations can be made in a number of ways, but it is hoped that most members will sign up for a regular promise by direct debit.

You can also donate online here.

Your Charity Steward will have the forms and details of the other methods. You can also visit the MCF Fundraising hub for more ideas and help.
